Sunday Sessions

It's been an incredibly hectic few months. This is mainly due to uni work, and changing degrees - yep, changing degrees. I'll say it like it's a completely simple and casual thing to do. It's not. It really isn't.

I began studying a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management, and am yet to choose a major which is something the university expects me to pick in the first week. Logic at it's finest. I'm 20 years old and still have no idea what I want to do with my life. It has however been an interesting couple of weeks studying, it's been really great to study something I am really passionate about.

In my spare time, rather than blogging, I have been watching documentaries, drinking coffee and looking at beautiful clothes/home decor that I cannot afford. However in my travels of the internet I have found a couple of great documentaries that are well worth a watch! If anyone has access to these, please watch The Cove and Black Fish. Very eye-opening and definitely worth a watch.

Anyway, today's feature is a casual look that I shot on a Sunday, because I truly enjoy lounging around in cute lil clothes like these!

Fall In

Finally on  a small break from uni, which meant I actually had time to shoot these babies from Motel Rocks!

Not a lot has happened since I last posted, aside from the stress of completing assessments on time. I've recently acquired a house mate (finally) after living alone for the past 6 months. It's strange, having someone else walking around my house and not being able to be nude 80% off my life. Other than that I guess it's okay. She cooks a lot, she's Chinese. Which is pretty rad because I spend my money on things other than food, which means I'm pretty poor at week's end.

I went home for holidays to visit my family, and ended up doing part of this shoot in my makeshift studio, in other words my lounge room. I do have studio lights now, so that's something pro right?

Anyway, I'm pretty excited right now because I only have a few more weeks until I have finished my first year of uni, which is amazing to me. Hopefully I will have more time to blog over my Summer holidays. Yes, it's Summer here in Australia, but this is a Fall inspired shoot - and I'm loving these babies that Motel Rocks hooked me up with!

So Surreal

So, as you can see, this post is a little bit of a different mix compared to my usual posts.

I had so much fun shooting for a fellow University student, Drew Holland, just last week and I absolutely love how the photographs turned out, that I decided I would pop a few up here! The colour photographs are colour film, and I think they turned out wonderfully. Such a talented young man he is!

The next two underneath the colour film shots, are black and white 35mm shots. I totally love them also.

The rest are digital, and edited by me. I think they are great too, but I am mainly in love with the film shots in this post!

Not Waiting Here For You

I am absolutely loving this swim by Motel! Like, it's Winter here but I still never want to stop wearing it. Seeing as it's chilly here in Aus, I have chosen to style the swim with a few of my other pieces. I really enjoyed styling this, as it works as swimwear and as a body suit as well.

I chose to go for a darker look to even out the bright pink on the swim, but keeping it girly with a skirt and baby pink shoes! It was so cold shooting this, so half of my poses I look like a dying rabbit, however the clouds made for really nice lighting for a more editorial look, which I am really enjoying.

Make sure you check out Motel's New Arrivals! You will find this swim and so many other sick pieces, I am really loving the new grungier looking Motel gear. Check it out!
