Ragged Ruins

Today was such a fun day of shooting! These photos were taken by my lovely friend Robert who was great to put up with my crap all day.

I just recently acquired these perfect leggings by Black Milk Clothing. They are wet look overall leggings and are now my favourite piece of clothing that I own. If you have a spare $90 around, I definitely recommend grabbing a pair for yourself.

This shirt is also amazing. Everything The Ragged Priest make is so simple and fantastic.

The place we went to shoot today was super cool and grungy, exactly what I was looking for. It's an old, burnt down block of offices, which makes for a super cool maze of graffiti and possibly dangerous pointy objects.

Aussie Winter

I received my lovely little beanie and patches yesterday from Dark Moon Cult, I am so in love! I will be wearing this cute beanie all Winter long.

So from now on my shoots will be getting a little more professional rather than the home jobs I'm doing at the moment, as I have purchased studio lighting and have friends rather keen to photograph for me! So watch this space because there are big things coming.

"Give Me Nylon Or Give Me Death" - BM

Wow! I have been blogging so much the last couple of days, I think I'm trying to make up for the fact that I have barely blogged in the last month or so.

I thought today I would do a bit of a style tips kind of post for suspender leggings, namely Black Milk suspender legs! Because we all know there is just nothing that beats a bit of BM nylon goodness.

For a while I never wore any of my suspender legs outside the house because I wasn't entirely sure what I should wear with them. Well step one ladies; don't think about whether they are appropriate or not. No one gives a shit and ain't nobody got time for that. Put aside what people think and just indulge in their judgemental stares. Honestly, you don't wear BM unless you want to get noticed. So enjoy the attention!

So a few pieces I love to wear with my range of BM suspenders are muscle tees, sweater dresses, and if I'm feeling particularly bold, a little crop tee. Try out different ways of wearing things, I love wearing Unif tanks, sometimes flowing loose or tucked in. Experiment!

Now for shoes - this is super easy. PLATFORMS PLATFORMS PLATFORMS. Jeffrey Campbells, Hellbounds, creepers, flatworm sneakers...anything sky high is spot on. If you are going to wear suspenders you may as well go big or go home. You may be thinking you want to dress your suspenders down - no. Not an option. Personally today I went for my Jeffrey Campbell x Wildfox Couture ballet flatforms. Nothing goes better with BM than JC.

Top it off with a pretty headband and you'll have a badass but sickeningly sweet look for the day.

Pixie Vibes

This post has been a long time coming, and I can honestly say I am so bummed about the shoot. I had great plans to shoot with a couple of friends in a grungy alley downtown, until my landlord called to tell me he had people coming around to value the house. If you could see the state of my house right now you would totally understand why I freaked out about this. So instead of my awesome shoot with friends, I had to plan a bunch of looks and DIY it at home before rushing to clean my entire house. Eugh.

Anyway, all that aside. THIS DRESS. I know it's not from the newest season of Unif but whatever, the Hellerina dress is the most amazing piece of clothing I have ever seen. It fits perfectly, if not a little large. I am generally a Small in Unif and bought this baby in an XS which fits perfectly. I had to team it up with my Unif Mermaid Pink Hellbounds and I literally feel like a princess. Especially in this room! This is my sunroom at home which I use to paint in, I just never realised how wonderful the lighting is for photography!
